Post Whelping Milk Promotion4 scoops of Puppy Milk Supplement*
250ml warm water 3 tbsp Plain Full Fat Yoghurt 1 Raw Egg 1/4 tsp Fenugreek 1 tbsp Sunflower Oil 1 tsp Honey (optional) 4 drops Pet Nutri-Drops (optional) Place milk supplement in a small mixing bowl, add a small amount of the water and using a fork or whisk, make a paste. Add Sunflower Oil, Raw Egg, Fenugreek, Honey and Nutri-Drops. Whisk together, adding the remaining water. Give daily to bitch post whelping until weaning, *Whole Goats Milk or Evaporated Milk can be used as an alternative to the powdered puppy milk supplement and water. Liver Remedy: Fading Puppies1 large piece of Beef Liver
Small amount of water Take a large piece of beef liver, add a little bit of water and boil slowly until the blood comes out (about 5 minutes). Let it cool, drain the liquid and put just 4 drops (no matter what the breed) into a dropper and give to the puppy. Initially administer every 2 hours, for 12 hours, then every 4 hours. Continue until you feel the puppy is thriving. DO NOT use any of the liver itself, only the strained liquid. Puppy Milk Replacer300ml Whole Goats Milk
1 Raw Egg Yolk 1 cup Plain Full Fat Yoghurt 1/2 tsp Karo Syrup Place all ingredients in a blender or use a wire whisk to blend. Be careful to not over blend and create bubbles in the mixture. Keep refrigerated and discard leftovers after 7 days. To feed, warm formula to body temperature (dogs are around 38.5 degrees celsius). Discard any unused formula. |
Satin Balls4kg Mince Beef (High Fat Content)
500grams Wheat Germ 1kg Oats 340 grams of Sanitarium Weetbix 1¼ cups Vegetable Oil 10 eggs [boil in shell for 30 seconds]* 10 sachets of unflavoured Gelatin 1¼ cups Molasses 2 teaspoons Kelp 1 cup of Chia Seeds A pinch of Salt Garlic to taste (optional) Mix all ingredients together thoroughly, then roll into small balls and put into freezer bags for freezing. Thaw out as needed. This recipe puts on weight quickly. and adds shine to the coat. Does not produce diarrhoea. Satin Balls are a total canine diet. They can be fed as a complete meal, or as a supplement. *Boiling the eggs for 30 seconds denatures the whites and leave the benefits of the yolks intact. |
